This painting was created for a wedding and is deeply influenced by two texts that have long accompanied me: The Little Prince by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry and On ne badine pas avec l’Amour by Alfred de Musset.
Because love carries many shades, I chose pink as the thread that binds the composition — a color of tenderness, passion, and innocence. The couple already shared a long life together and had a child, so this rose also speaks of continuity, of love that grows rather than begins.
The lines and geometric elements suggest fate and the unexpected turns of life — the kind that togetherness helps us navigate. Even if love is fragile and changing, marriage always carries a form of hope.
Through this painting, I wished them a blissful journey, sailing the ocean of life in pursuit of that lifelong quest we call contentment.
